Day 1
defining your makeup style
How can you learn how to do makeup if you haven't actually defined your preferred look and style?
This module teaches you how to pinpoint an everyday makeup style that you will use as the basis for the course (and well beyond the course).
Day 2
unlock your skincare routine
Artists don't apply paint to a raw canvas, and we shouldn't apply makeup to a bare face. In day 2, we're going over skin prep for makeup and undertones.
When you know your skin type and undertone, you'll know exactly what products (and formulations) to avoid and/or use.
Module 2 is foundational sans foundation.
Day 3
master your complexion
In this module, I outline the five elements that make up the "complexion" makeup category: foundation, concealer, blush, bronzer, and highlighter.
By the end of this lesson, you'll know how to mix and match these elements to create an everyday makeup look that works for you, your face shape, and your lifestyle.
Day 4
All About the Eyes
Did you know that too much eyeliner can make your eyes appear smaller? Or that our eyes are asymmetric, which means we might have to do both eyes differently?
In this module, we'll identify your eye shape and talk about why certain types of eye makeup will work for you (or not work for you), and we'll analyze which colors to use on the eye using basic color theory.
Day 5
creating your Perfect Lip look
So many lipsticks, so little time. But finding your "perfect" lipstick shade isn't really as hard as it seems.
In this module, I'll walk you through all of the different lipstick formulations out there and share why you might want to use one over the other. I'll also help you identify your perfect nude, everyday, and bold lip shades!

Learn Makeup in 5 Days is not designed or intended to teach you elaborate, fanciful, full-face makeup. There are enough of those types of courses, books, and makeup tutorials out there doing that.
Learn Makeup in 5 Days is designed to give you a basic, yet foundational understanding of how to shop for and apply makeup in a way that works specifically for you. By the end of the 5 days, you will know what products and colors work best for you and how to apply them for an everyday, classic makeup look.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
Because I've condensed so much makeup education into 5 days, every single day is jam-packed with knowledge and downloads.
The welcome module itself is like a mini course!

HOW LONG DO I HAVE ACCESS TO THE COURSE?
You will have 24/7 access to the course for one calendar year from the date you purchase it.
Call me crazy, but I believe that if you pay to learn how to wear makeup in 5 days, you shouldn't have to rush through it or lose access after you go through the lessons one time.
I do suggest downloading the resources to your device so that you have access to them offline.
DO YOU TEACH CONTOURING, BAKING, AND WINGED LINER?
I do not teach contouring and baking in this course. Those are theatrical makeup effects and they aren't good habits for the makeup beginner.
I do however, outline in my book why/when/who may want to consider contouring and baking and what exactly it is so that you can make an educated decision as to whether or not these theatrical makeup techniques suit your everyday makeup style.
While I don't deep dive specifically into how to achieve a winged eyeliner (this requires more than 5 days of practice if you're a beginner), I do go over different eyeliner techniques that pair nicely with your eye shape. You might discover that winged liner is not even right for you!

HOW DO I ACCESS ALL THE COURSE MATERIALS?

This is a self-paced course that is designed to be done in 5 days. But, of course, the timing and pacing is totally up to you. If you'd rather do it all in one day, you can do that. If you want to go through one module per week, you can do that, too. Whatever suits you and your schedule!

If you are a budding makeup artist who doesn't know anything about makeup and want to learn the basics, yes — this course is the perfect launchpad.

Unlike other makeup classes that are subtly (or blatantly) promoting their own brands or services, I am not sponsored by any outside brands and have remained brand-agnostic since starting my business in 2014.
There's absolutely no way I would feel comfortable teaching you makeup if I was sponsored by a brand or receiving free product because I would feel obliged to use those products or promote them in my educational offerings.
I work with products at all price points. I do not want you to go into debt buying makeup, nor do I want you to use sub-par products.
