Is this $100 subscription box worth the hype? | My First Zoe Report Box of Style Unboxing

Maybe I’m becoming a sucker for subscription boxes. Maybe I’m just bored. Maybe I use my makeup artist profession as an excuse to try anything/everything shiny and pretty. Either way, when I saw Rachel Zoe launched a quarterly subscription box (totally behind the times by a few seasons), I caved and just bought the yearly subscription. Yea, it’s $350 but that’s less than a dollar a day and I haven’t been going out to get coffee, so it’s all balances out, right? I’ve included the discount codes for the items if you love them.

Anyways, check out my unboxing above to see all the products in action. I’ve included below the contents of the box. The order of my actual unboxing is different below than the video order. I did demo the eye crayon in the video if you want to see. Remember, smudgy smudgy!

Hero Item: (I believe the Hero Item is the most expensive/exclusive item in the box—TZR will always publish what this item will be ahead of time).

Final thoughts

I’m happy with the little handbag. It’s growing on me and it really is perfect for day-to-day errands. I love the Jouer eye crayon and bracelet as well! Eeek! Those 3 things make the box worth it to me.

The ear buds are meh since I don’t have a long, public transit commute, nor do I have to walk to class like back in the day. I certainly wouldn’t ever spend $100 on them especially since I can’t use them as a microphone (for cellie) and they aren’t Bluetooth (preferred for gym). Although I do go to the gym and get my elliptical on (on-occasion but mostly do group fitness classes), so that’s where they are going, in the car for those occasional YMCA workouts. I’m also not anti-social which I think ear buds can totally foster but that’s another post for another time.

I’m also like meh on the oil blotting papers. I mean I’m glad I have them to throw in my purse but tbh I’ll likely forget they are there when I need them the most. They may just go straight into my makeup kit so I can hand out to my clients. But since I did just move to Georgia from California – they will probably come in handy more than I am anticipating…

Ultimately, no super hard core complaints from me on this box! Looking forward to the next one in Summer 2015! Let me know what you think in the comments below and please make sure to subscribe if you haven’t already.

Stay beautiful peeps!

Love,
Natalie Setareh

Beauty is about perception, not about make-up. I think the beginning of all beauty is knowing and liking oneself. You can't put on make-up, or dress yourself, or do you hair with any sort of fun or joy if you're doing it from a position of correction.
