Box #2: Ipsy Unboxings and First Impression

Thanks for tuning into my second beauty product subscription service unboxing (or rather, unbagging)! ipsy is by far one of the most popular beauty product subscription among my amigas. I was a little bummed that ipsy couldn’t send me a bag gratis or at a discount — but it’s probably because they are always SOLD OUT, every month. That’s probably because of their phenom price point at a mere $10 a month 🙂

My lipsticks cost more than that and let me say, I received three, yes THREE full sized products in this bag. These are also brands I am not familiar with, which is great for both the up-and-comers to get their products into the hands of beauty mavens like myself and for myself, so that I can continue to increase my product knowledge for my clients and professional kit. So $10 went a long way…well worth it in my opinion.

My dear friend Alexanna (and occasional guest blogger on my page), gifted me an August ipsy bag. She did have to send me her email/password so I can log in and fill out my beauty profile (which was a bit odd). You’d think that if you gifted someone a service like this, they could create their own account and fill out their own beauty profile. Anyways, that’s just an observation!

Products Included:

Hikari Lip Gloss – Chardonnay *FULL SIZE* Retails for $13

Marc Anthony Moroccan Hair Oil *SAMPLE SIZE*

Aila nail polish – Mister Pookies *FULL SIZE* Retails for $17 (found it on Amazon for $10)

Starlet Pro Eyeliner Pen – Black *FULL SIZE* Retails for $19

Eco-Beauty Night Cream *SAMPLE SIZE*

You save $29 because remember, an ipsy subscription is only $10/month! Sooooo worth it ya’ll!

I will be posting a review soon on these products. I can already tell you that I’ve used the Hikari Lip Gloss on a client — and it looks amazing. Check out her picture in my portfolio, scroll to Laura | Anniversary Date Glamover.

Beauty is about perception, not about make-up. I think the beginning of all beauty is knowing and liking oneself. You can't put on make-up, or dress yourself, or do you hair with any sort of fun or joy if you're doing it from a position of correction.
